All My Friends Hate Me

All My Friends Hate Me

Monday 29th August 2022. Blu-ray

Pete (Tom Stourton) is ready to leave his youthful indulgences behind and settle down with his girlfriend, Sonia (Charly Clive). When his university friends invite him for a country weekend away to celebrate his birthday he finds their immature ways haven't changed and he's baffled by their spontaneous invitation to a feral stranger from the local pub to join them.

With the atmosphere turning from tense to terrifying to surreal, Pete reaches breaking point. Is he being punished? Is he being paranoid? Or is he just part of some sick joke?

Directed by Andrew Gaynord from a razor sharp script by Tom Stourton and Tom Palmer, with a cast of rising British talent, All My Friends Hate Me is a "deliciously dark" comedy about social paranoia.

It doesn't take long, however, before 5C start wreaking havoc - with both the camp and the snobbish pupils of an upper-class boys' school who are also staying there!

James Acaster's Guide To Quitting Social Media

James Acaster's Guide To Quitting Social Media

Thursday 18th August 2022. Audiobook, Hardback and eBook

This is a self help book like no other. Because you are not helping yourself, James Acaster is helping you.

When James quit all forms of social media in 2019 he felt like he'd been born anew, but he was worried he'd suffer withdrawal and get lured back online to compete in a never ending popularity contest with only one possible winner (f*cking Zuckerberg). He knew that in order to stay clean he'd have to replace everything social media used to give him with three-dimensional, real-life activities. And so it was that James found ways to anonymously bully strangers, see photos of everyone's dogs, get invited to as many parties as possible, immediately know about all celebrity deaths, get public figures fired, argue with everybody about everything, and so much more without even owning a phone (he painted over the screen of his old one to stop himself looking at Instagram).

His life is amazing and yours could be too if you buy JAMES ACASTER'S GUIDE TO QUITTING SOCIAL MEDIA, BEING THE BEST YOU YOU CAN BE AND SAVING YOURSELF FROM LONELINESS VOL. 1. You will also need to do everything the book tells you to. Including helping him promote the book by tweeting about it.

Spotlight

Two's Company

Two's Company

An old BCG favourite, the complete collection of this four-series LWT sitcom (1975 - 1979) has just been rereleased as a box set, so we thought worth a revisit. Screen icon Sir Donald Sinden plays snooty English butler to an American author (played by Elaine Stritch, latterly of 30 Rock fame) living in London, creating a comedy series based on the contrasts and clashes of money, class, society, culture, workplace, home and international relations.
